That’s a really nice story. Elvis was a professional, and he cared about his fans. He did the best he could in the situation and wasn’t a jerk about it. Can you imagine the way many other stars — stars of a far smaller magnitude — would’ve reacted? The nastiness and attitude? Yet another reason to love Elvis.

I’m so far gone on this guy! I’m seriously considering going on this trip to Hawaii next year. A few months ago I had never given him more than a passing thought! Such is the power of obsession — and of Elvis Presley.

Not sure if you’re a fan of “Designing Women,” but they did a really hilarious and touching episode about Elvis and Elvis fandom that you’d probably get a kick out of. I watched it again recently, laughed a lot, and even teared up a little. You can watch it here on YouTube.

I adore Designing Women but don’t remember that episode – thank you! It’s going to make me miss Dixie Carter!!
