He is just so down to earth and smart and …… non-precious about the process. I just love his straight-up common sense about things.
“If I can’t defend why something is in a script to an actor, it really shouldn’t be in there.”
I love his thoughts on actors and writing — that actors should be writing and how that helps to bridge the divide between actors and writing. It seems so plain, so obvious, and yet, honestly, I don’t think you hear other actor/writers talk this way. And I would love love LOVE to see him write an episode of “Glee”! Love Cousin Mike. He seems so approachable with absolutely zero BS. He is who he is — not who anybody needs him to be. That’s how he seems to me.
(Also, why is my mind insisting that that hoodie says “Guiding Light”? I’m sure it doesn’t so what is my problem??)
hahaha Tracey, I had the same thought. Why is he wearing a Guiding Light sweatshirt?
I like the bit where with every draft he hands in he imagines Wells saying, “In my 35 years of producing television, I have never seen a draft more perfect. Thank you for being on our staff, Mike. Thank you.”
hahahahaha
Cousin Mike is wicked smart! This is like a mini-showbiz masters class!
he’s a wicked pissah!
