When they got me they had somebody who played a lot of sports, who sang, who danced, who could play the piano, play the guitar. My whole life had, in a sense, prepared me to be in this show.

    I had always wondered whether he’d actually done those things on the show or been dubbed in. I’m inordinately pleased to find out he actually performed them himself.

    Paul – it’s great, isn’t it? Gives a real authenticity to the whole thing. He’s so talented. And so likeable, too, I think.
