Yesterday was Michael Caine’s 81st birthday. In honor of him, here is a wonderful post by my friend Kim Morgan, who describes sitting in a roundtable discussion with Michael Caine, where he related a wonderful story about learning to hold your temper (at least in public). It’s really satisfying stuff.
Michael Caine’s book Acting in Film: An Actor’s Take on Movie Making is indispensable to actors, certainly, but, really, to anyone who is curious about the acting craft as well as the art of film-making. This one anecdote has given me retrospective laughs for literally years now.
