And he has updated that original piece with a VERY amusing (at least to me) post in regards to me, my Irishness, the James Joyce quote up above - and the fact that, during a heat wave in 2002, I considered going on a date with a guy I didn't like, merely because I knew he had an air conditioner.
I had completely forgotten about that shameful event in my past, so thank you, Patrick, for dredging it up for me!!
