Okay, so I'm a jackass...

...and this is kind of embarrassing, but I have seen other bloggers behave in such a manner ... so I figured ... Oh what the hell.

Next week it's my birthday. On Thanksgiving, to be exact.

And ... uh ... my Amazon Wish List is over to the right.

Do you really want that Michael Moore book?

Posted by: Jim Moran at November 19, 2003 06:15 PM

Actually, Jim, what she really wants is "Bennifer- Behind the Music". Trust me on this. She loves them even more than Michael Jackson.

No reason to be embarrassed over seeking solace in material comforts. What are you anyway? A communist?

In case I forget to drop the greeting next week, have a super-Happy Birthday!

Really, I've already given you so much.

"Bennifer- Behind the Music" ?

Hmmmmmm, iTunes or Amazon?

Posted by: Jim at November 19, 2003 11:36 PM

"A JACKASS"

No my dear, it's Thanksgiving to, so you would be a TURKEY!

Posted by: Jim at November 19, 2003 11:38 PM

Now listen: When I open up that damn Amazon page ... there is no Michael Moore book on display.

i did not choose a Michael Moore book.

the first book on the list is Elias Canetti's Crowds and Power, and the second book is a biography of Steve McQueen.

Talk to me. Am I the only one who sees the right list?

I remember a month or so ago when my list showed that I was asking for a "Hokey Pokey Elmo" and i was horrified.

I see the right one with Steve McQueen, etc.

Rats... and I was going to get you an Elmo. :-)

Oh, and Beth, I could sue you for slander for spreading the rumors that I love "Bennifer".

BENNIFER??

Thank goodness Paris Hilton stole some of the headlines away from those 2 boneheads.

(Although I did recently re-watch Chasing Amy and I think Ben Affleck is great in it.)

Hokey Pokey Elmo ?

Paris Hilton?

I'm getting worried about you...

Posted by: Jim Moran at November 20, 2003 11:50 AM

A biography of Steve McQueen?

Why? Steve McQueen?

How about a studio copy of Gigli? If I remember correctly you loved that one.

Posted by: Jim at November 20, 2003 04:44 PM

I love Steve McQueen. Every story I hear about him makes me want to know more.

ms. sheila,

it strikes me that with this endless scroll of antiquated, bulky dinosaur-age VHS's, what you're in truly desperate need of is a DVD player!

Bill:

You ain't kiddin' dude. I am way way behind.
