Pretty funny - I think I remember taking this quiz last year and I came up as George Washington.
How does one go from George Washington to Thomas Paine? Have I lost my sanity, my ability to hold my tongue? To chill out?
Posted by sheilaHmm, I came out John Adams. Not sure how to take it exactly, but then I never know how to take any of these "What xxx are you?" quizzes.
Posted by: Ron at January 26, 2004 11:22 AMI got Alexander Hamilton:
"You have very little faith in humanity, but still care a great deal about the stupid little dolts."
Posted by: MikeR at January 26, 2004 2:27 PMI wished that I would come up as Alexander Hamilton. But instead I got the intellectual firebrand. Ah well
Washington for me. Figures.

Well, if my pattern is any indication, if you take the quiz next year, you will have graduated to Thomas Paine.
Posted by: red at January 26, 2004 3:29 PMI came up as Hamilton as well.
Posted by: Laura at January 26, 2004 3:50 PMRed, you're ignoring the fact that you got the coolest quote: "These are the times that try men's souls."
Posted by: MikeR at January 26, 2004 4:06 PMMike R-
This is quite true. I just always dug Alexander Hamilton for some reason. But it's true that Paine's writings basically inspired the entire revolution. So - this is good.
Hmmm. Perhaps I could inspire some sort of revolution on this blog ... as my readership grows ... and my power multiplies...
Posted by: red at January 26, 2004 4:08 PMI came up Paine last time, Hamilton today. I'm hardly ever consistent with these quizzes.
Posted by: Bill McCabe at January 26, 2004 4:16 PMHamilton for me as well, which suits me fine. But yeah, I'm always looking for another answer on these quizzes that would fit better.

Watch out everyone, Red's becoming drunk with the awesome influence she now wields over us.
Posted by: MikeR at January 26, 2004 6:40 PMHey, Thomas Paine is pretty cool. If I ever reach a station in life where I have a wooden schooner, I'm either going to name it Thomas Paine or Vengeance. :-)
Oh, yeah...I got Washington.
Posted by: Ken Hall at January 27, 2004 10:12 AMI just want to be Sam Adams. I don't want to take the quiz because I might turn out to be somebody else...
