Benjamin Franklin 1783 “He means well…”

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, describing John Adams in a letter of July 22, 1783:

He means well for his country, is always an honest man, often a wise one, but sometimes and in some things, absolutely out of his senses.

    Benjamin Franklin is my favorite president because he once wrote an entire book about farting.

    Er … Ben wasn’t no President, Miss Emily.

    Perhaps it was the fart book that kept him out of the highest office in the land.
