Heard it through the grapevine

Victor Davis Hanson has a blog now.

In one of his entries, he discusses ellipses:

Always beware of those little dots when someone has an ax to grind.

Victor gets an automatic spot on my yet-to-be-created-because-blog-city-sucks-worse-than-a-black-hole blog-roll. I had been hoping he would start a blog.

I am a HUGE fan of his.

Your blog is a real heartbreaker.

One day it's there for me, one day it's not ... Hot, cold, hot, cold ...

For me too... it's like a tease - so near yet so far - the little hour-glass of frustration.

If it worked, I would have posted that Bill Lind also has a blog now. Bill is like Victor on acid - a total raving wild man, and totally brilliant. He was responsible for easily the most fun I had in grad school, which is saying a whole lot. His blog is at:

By the way your narrative of the weekend in RI was beautiful...

If you want to get the hell off of Blog-City, shoot me a note and I'll put you into a snazzy new stand-alone blog with your own domain. Just drop me a line. My first name at deanesmay.com.

Blog City's getting a reputation almost as bad as BlogSpot's. If you really like blogging, though, $5-10 a month for fees at Hosting Matters or Verve or Bloghosts is really entirely worth the money.

Plus then you can be one of the cool kids like Sheila O'Malley!

I sympathize with you, CW. Which is why I moved my blog off Blog-City this past weekend.

Of course, with all of the problems Blog-City is still having, nobody can see the "moving" notice on the old blog, except in fits and starts. Oh, well...
