I got it from Michele, and she got it from Treacher.
1. Grab the nearest CD.
2. Put it in your CD-Player (or start your mp3-player, I-tunes, etc.).
3. Skip to Song 3 (or load the 3rd song in your 3rd playlist)
4. Post the first verse in your journal along with these instructions. Don’t name the band, nor the album-title.
Get a load of me, get a load of you
Walking down the street
And I hardly know you
It's just like we were meant to be,
holding hands with you when we're out at night
Got a girlfriend but you say it isn't right
And I've got something waiting, too
What if this is just the beginning?
We're already wet and we're gonna go swimming
No Googling allowed.
Posted by sheilaLiz Phair, "Why Can't I." The song that actually got played on the radio
Posted by: Stephen Silver at April 30, 2004 12:25 PMI don't really listen to the radio. But I love Liz Phair! The first song on the album "Extraordinary" is actually my favorite.
Posted by: red at April 30, 2004 12:28 PM"No Googling Allowed". That's right up there as filthy sounding, near "Ping Me".
Posted by: Emily at April 30, 2004 1:03 PMI admit. I have Googled myself on occasion.
Posted by: red at April 30, 2004 1:05 PMI hope you're not ashamed. Self-googling is perfectly natural, though if you're Catholic, you should probably bring it up in confession occassionaly.
Posted by: Emily at April 30, 2004 1:16 PMI'm always Googling. It's instinctive.
Posted by: Dan at April 30, 2004 1:19 PMI remember that controversy when some surgeon general suggested googling be taught in schools. I always thought it was pretty instinctive, myself. I mean, who out there doesn't know how?
Posted by: Bill McCabe at April 30, 2004 1:24 PMNeedles in my heart
Spell on my mind
Your powerful potion, gets me every time
I toss and turn, I can’t sleep
Your kiss burns through my dreams
Here it comes again
I don’t stand a chance
Soul possession, deep in a trance
Calling me back, back to you
Liz Phair rules. I would google her any time.
