Bogey says to Bergman: "We'll always have Paris."
In my life, it would be, "We'll always have Milwaukee Summer Fest."
I don't know ... maybe it's me ... but it just doesn't have the same poetic ring. The sentiment is similar however.
Posted by sheilaHow about "We'll always have Milwaukee Bastille Days"? Closer, anyway.
Posted by: Mark at May 19, 2004 10:10 AMI love Milwaukee - it just doesn't sound as romantic as Paris ... really not much else to say about it!!
"I lost my heart in Waukesha..."
hahaha
Posted by: red at May 19, 2004 10:13 AMHey, you have to admit it beats "we'll always have that time we did it in the back of your car and you puked on my mother's porch swing afterwards."
Posted by: Emily at May 19, 2004 10:26 AMWhat DOESN'T get lost in Waukesha? It's a maze of pointess one way streets at weird angles.
SO glad I don't work there any more.
Posted by: Mark at May 19, 2004 11:35 AMYou worked in Waukesha? I only went there once - to the River Fest. Where I got to see "America" play - they were like somnambulists, singing "I've been through the desert on a horse with no name" - as though they were performing in some zombie parade. It was hysterical.
Posted by: red at May 19, 2004 12:13 PMYes, I worked at a silly little mapping company in downtown Waukesha, near River Fest, for eight years. I always said it was a town founded by carnies. Folks out there are weird.
