Okay - so the following two pieces are just sheer COMEDY.
Writer John Moe has been doing, on McSweeney's, a series he calls "Pop-Song Correspondences". I read the one today and found myself crying with laughter.
The first one is a letter from James Taylor, which is called:
James Taylor Issues an Update on the 'Friendship Promise'
And the second one is a series of letters to John Fogerty, which ... you just have got to read. It's so damn funny.
It helps if you know the songs referenced, obviously.
