Cary Grant to Eva Marie Saint in "North by Northwest". One of my all time favorites.

The other one I like from North by Northwest is when the two of them are hanging off of Mount Rushmore, hiding from James Mason and Martin Landau - and Cary Grant says something to Eva Marie Saint like: "When we get out of this mess, let's take the train back to New York." (Referencing their early sexy train ride.)
She says, hanging off one of the President heads, "Is that a proposition?"
Cary Grant replies, "It's a proposal, sweetheart."
I couldn't remember the specific movie, but I did clearly recall Grant's voice saying that phrase. You're right about him, red. He could take a little and make it into a lot - in someone else's hands, that line could have been very bland.
