Sheila, we could form an alliance on this.

I understand her reasoning, I sympathize as well ... My response is purely selfish. I LOVE HER BLOG. I LOVE HER BLOG.
I will gladly join an alliance with you.

I've tried to stop twice, with little success. I wish blogs had been invented in 2034, then I wouldn't have a problem with them.
The problem with "less often" is it gradually becomes "more often", and you end up where you started.

You say to give the girl a break. Er ... what? All I meant to do with this post was to let her know that her blogging is appreciated and cherished by quite a few people. That's it. If it seems like harassment to her, I CAN'T HELP IT!! Sorry, Anne. :) You rock.
Posted by: red at July 19, 2004 05:48 PMSorry red,
you have to imagine that being said with a smile over a pint of beer in a jokey manner, it wasn't meant to be snarky or an accusation of cyberharassment.
(I'm trying to avoid using smileys.)
Posted by: Anthony at July 19, 2004 06:57 PMI'm all for this 'campaign of cyberharassment' - I mean, if THAT doesn't convince her to stay on the internet, I don't know what will. ;)

I am all for avoiding smileys, as you say. It's too bad we can't come up with some other system to connote "smiling over beer in a jokey manner". I will think more upon it.
