Give the girl a break.

I've tried to stop twice, with little success. I wish blogs had been invented in 2034, then I wouldn't have a problem with them.

The problem with "less often" is it gradually becomes "more often", and you end up where you started.

I am all for avoiding smileys, as you say. It's too bad we can't come up with some other system to connote "smiling over beer in a jokey manner". I will think more upon it.
