Holy mackerel, indeed.

Here in Austin, Texas, we've had unseasonably cool weather and a little rain, and we're quite a distance from the hurricane. My prayers with those in Florida.

Bonnie turned out to be a joke, but I certainly hope Charley doesn't come anywhere near me (which it doesn't look likely to do at this point). Good luck to those south and west of here.

Bonnie wasn't completely a joke. She spawned tornadoes that killed people in North Carolina.
