Oh, what an incredible book. Another "phenomenon" type book - it's everywhere. There was a mini-series (which was AWESOME) ... The author lives in Texas. He's still alive.

Sounds like McMurtry's "Lonesome Dove." And if that's right, I got both "whore questions" correct! (Nateley's whore in Catch 22)
