Last line

To Nurse Edna, who was in love, and to Nurse Angela, who wasn't (but who had in her wisdom named both Homer Wells and Fuzzy Stone), there was no fault to be found in the hearts of either Dr. Stone or Dr. Larch, who were -- if there ever were -- Princes of Maine, Kings of New England.

God, that gives me chills.

Yes. I wouldn't see the movie because I loved the book so much!! Highly recommend it - I think it might be one of his best

Irving wrote the screenplay, for what it's worth. I haven't read the book yet, but it was a good film.

Oh that's right, Scott - I forgot he wrote it!

It was a precious book to me... one of those books where I really lost myself in it - Homer Wells, all those people were real to me ... and I didn't want to read the book afterwards and see Tobey Maguire or whatever.

Not that there's anything wrong with Tobey Maguire - I just liked living in my imagination with it.
