David -

I know for a fact that you know this one.

Take a quiet moment. You'll get it.

HA! I knew that one, but I wasn't sure so I looked it up and saw this line at the end of the book, "These words are now part of the story." So I figured it wasn't it, then when I came back and Ralph guessed it I was all ready to put up a stink until I realized the book I picked up was, "A River Runs Through It and Other Stories". That last line was from a story called, "USFS 1919: The Ranger, The Cook and a Hole in the SKY". HA!!

David:

ha!!

Didn't we all go see that movie together? Did I make that up?

I remember me and Jackie LOSING IT with Redford's voice-over at the end: "I am haunted by waters" - with the old man fly-fishing in the beautiful river ...

wahhhhhh!

I believe you are right, but even if you're not, that's how I choose to remember seeing that movie for the first time.
