Dearest: The Pinta. love, dad
Posted by: dad at March 11, 2005 02:45 PMNo, no, no. This is the Pinta, or at least a replica.
Posted by: Bill McCabe at March 11, 2005 03:45 PMI'm pretty sure that the Pinta thing was a joke, Bill.
But thanks for the photo of the replica. pretty cool.
Posted by: red at March 11, 2005 03:46 PMMy link was a joke too, Sheila. :-)
Posted by: Bill McCabe at March 11, 2005 03:49 PMOh. DUH. :)
If your photo were the Pinta, it would be like: "Day-um, Columbus really had some hardware, didn't he!!"
Posted by: red at March 11, 2005 03:51 PMI love this whole "name that ship" thing, by the way, Bill - even though I can't play.
Thanks! I'm looking to do something other than carriers next week. Though carriers do have a certain elegance.
Posted by: Bill McCabe at March 11, 2005 04:02 PMWhere do you find the photos? They're incredible.
Posted by: red at March 11, 2005 04:02 PMNavSource is a really good collection. But I found the images I've been using from Google. I've been reading an old book on carriers lately, and used Google to find some interesting images of them.
