It's weird, the little things in life I am grateful for. Sometimes I'm not even aware of my gratitude, because of the normal reasons - taking stuff for granted, enjoying things without taking a moment for thanks, etc. etc.
And this morning, I read the following post by Right Thinking Girl. And not only does her writing often make me appreciate the little things in life (because of how she expressed herself, how she shares her own life) ... but at this moment, and it might sound silly, but at this moment I am aware of how grateful I am for her site itself. And for her writing. Truly. Reading her stuff is so often like a gift. Freely given, freely shared.
Read that post. It's amazing.
Posted by sheilaYou are a sweetheart! I thought about you the other day. I was watching a movie with Vivien Leigh with the sound off (it was at the gym, I was only getting the picture) and I couldn't figure out which one it was. As I was getting more and more frustrated, I thought, Red would know. I don't remember too much of it now. Leigh was a table, waiting for somebody to show up. She waits and waits, and then she reads the paper and apparently, the person she is waiting for is dead (she reads his obit in the paper.) It was all very noir and beautifully acted. When I was finished working out, I thought: I should drop her an email to see if she knows what movie that is. And of course I forgot as soon as I got home. Then I saw you'd linked to the Rosary post. Fate, I tell ya.
:)
Posted by: RTG at April 11, 2005 05:42 AMThis question has been haunting me all day. I have seen the scene you describe. But I cannot remember the title. Just put out a call to my old-movie-freak friends. I will keep you posted.
