I don't know how to say this ...

... in a gentle way.

I cannot be gentle.

I just watched an hour of Being Bobby Brown.

And ...

Okay. I am just gonna give up my manners here:

Those two are the RUDEST most CLASSLESS most OBNOXIOUS people I have ever seen IN MY LIFE. They have NO CLASS. They may have a lot of money but they have NO CLASS. A beggar crouching in the dirt in Sierra Leone has more class than those two.

I am SHOCKED. What exactly did they think this reality TV show would give them? A boost to their careers?

Well ... Whitney has a career. Her voice is a God-given gift. Doesn't mean she's not a CLASSLESS LUNATIC ... but she's got a voice.

I love Bobby Brown's song "My Prerogative". It's been on the running tape I make for myself for almost 20 years. That is a damn fine song.

But ... uhm ... that was 20 years ago.

Does he think he comes off looking good in this? Is he aware how disgusting he is? He's all about farts and taking shits, and being a big fat BABY expecting his wife to mother him. He's the most disgusting mamma's boy. He gets a knot in his shoelaces and throws a FIT expecting Whitney to deal with it. Dude: do you realize how PATHETIC YOU ARE????? He throws tantrums, he mugs to the camera ... And she's not any better. She is a lunatic. It seems like she is always stoned. Her eyes never open all the way. Watching this show makes me ACHE for their daughter. I want to do an intervention. She HID in the department store because she saw her father start to take apart a mannequin because he basically CANNOT DEAL WITH LIFE if he is not the center of attention. Whitney took her daughter to the Young Miss section to buy clothes ... and Bobby stalked through the aisles, exclaiming, "NONE OF THESE CLOTHES WOULD FIT ME. WHERE ARE MY CLOTHES?"

Oh. What a bore.

He should be locked up.

Whitney should be medicated.

Their daughter should be taken away from them.

It doesn't take much to shock me, but these two are a freak show. And more than anything else - I am baffled as to why they agreed to do this show. This is evidence that they are complete lunatics because I am sure that they probably think that their antics are kind of hilarious and charming and irreverent ... when really they are just disgusting and classless.

Get some feckin' MANNERS, you idiots. I have seen Whitney's mother in interviews. Whitney's mother is an amazing singer in her own right. She is a classy dignified spiritual woman. Whitney should be ashamed of herself.

And Bobby is beyond disgusting. He gets up from the table at a chic Japanese restaurant and announces that he's taking a cigarette to the bathroom because: "I'ma gonna dropa big one, y'all." Dude: WE ALL POOP. What - do you want a medal? Why do you assault me with your bowel movements? He obviously had incomplete potty training or something.

I feel assaulted. I didn't MEAN to watch it for an hour but ... once it started ... i could not look away. It was like a disgusting operation or something.

Those two are PIGS. Just PIGS.

red -- I couldn't agree more! Goldenfiddle had to point out that they've introduced the phrase "doodie bubble" to our language. Yippee! I hope this kills off the reality TV thing; I'm sick of it already!

I hope it doesn't kill off Blow Out or The Surreal Life, though! I love those!

but Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown are barely even INTERESTING. They are classless bickering pigs. I ache for their poor chubby daughter. Somehow, I'm pissed that she's chubby. It's neglect, that's all. She is completely neglected.

I'm sorry, I know this is gross, I know it's beyond gross but this line cracked me up:

Why do you assault me with your bowel movements?

Why indeed.

GROSS. I tried to warn you about the Bobby Brown show. I heard early previews and thought...um, no thanks.

Posted by: RTG at July 15, 2005 12:27 AM

Oh, PS. everytime I see their daughter, I too get angry. When I see her chubby little face, I think that's a girl who does not get outside enough to run free and ride her bike and play. Sad. Neglect - that is the perfect word.

Posted by: RTG at July 15, 2005 12:29 AM

I do!! I feel assaulted by his need to tell me about the enormous dumps he takes. Good God. I know, I know ... I need to change the channel.

Posted by: red at July 15, 2005 12:30 AM

Ew. Glad I missed it. I have enough clutter in my mind, I do not need Bobby Brown's potty habits in there too.

Just out of sick curiosity...was Whitney like that too?

Posted by: RTG at July 15, 2005 12:35 AM

RTG - the daughter is so embarrassed by her own parents. She exudes embarrassment. And you know what? That sense of shame might end up saving her, you know? You never know. She seems rather sane, and like she knows her parents are nuts. It's awful for her ... but maybe she can't WAIT to get out and divorce herself from those boneheads. Where she can take a dump in private and not have her father sniffing around the bathroom door.

Good God. He is NASTY.

Posted by: red at July 15, 2005 12:36 AM

RTG - Whitney seems completely and utterly insane. She pretends to get all annoyed and prissy when Bobby gets gross - but it's like she lives her entire life with a camera on her. She is ALWAYS on display.

She also, basically, acts like an insane person. I would bet she is probably stoned for most of the day. It looked like stoned behavior to me.

Posted by: red at July 15, 2005 12:38 AM

She is completely stoned.

Ick.

Posted by: Mr. Bingley at July 15, 2005 12:40 AM

Don;t you think, Bingley? Isn't she totally wacked??

Posted by: red at July 15, 2005 12:51 AM

I just saw that it's coming on at 2am on Bravo. I might actually have to try to watch a few minutes to get the full impact of the grossness for myself.

Posted by: RTG at July 15, 2005 1:05 AM

I just saw the ads, and that was enough.

She really is a complete divorced-from-any-semblence=of-reality druggie.

Posted by: Mr. Bingley at July 15, 2005 1:13 AM

Oh.

My.

God.

This is a trainwreck. Whitney's insane, horny, trash-talking and most of all, she's high as a kite.

Bobby Brown is just NASTY. I mean, he's repulsive in every way.

I'm so glad I checked this out. I can live the rest of my life without ever having to watch a moment of this steaming pile of garbage ever again.

Posted by: RTG at July 15, 2005 2:22 AM

It would help me out if you'd quit beating around the bush and just tell us how you really feel about these two.

Posted by: Big Dan at July 15, 2005 3:00 AM

Cocaine is a helluva drug.

Seriously though...I'm glad I haven't seen it. I think pretty much all reality shows have been nothing if not annoying. The only reality show EVER that I saw that I liked was Cops. It pretty much supports my theory that examples need to be shown of what fuckups some people really are. I don't need to see celebrities do that, though.

No wait...that's the perfect one! Cops: Celebrity Edition!! Celebrities televised doing terrible things, and being caught in the act!!!

I need to talk to Fox....

Posted by: Wutzizname at July 15, 2005 10:11 AM

She needs to be medicated? I figured she was already...

Posted by: Steve at July 15, 2005 10:22 AM

Funny, I just emailed my best friend and was going on and on about how HORRIBLE that show is. It is not entertaining in the least. And they are arrogant and rude to each other and everyone else. And they are totally fucked up. Could you see their personalities change at times? And did you see the jaw grinding by Bobby? Obviously, you've already mentioned Whit's crazy eyes. Man, I was hoping it would be more like the Nick and Jessica show! ;)

Posted by: LB at July 15, 2005 10:46 AM

Did you see it when What's-his-Face al Fayed gave Bobby Egyptian Viagra?!

Ohmigod.

And I agree with Bing; Whitney is totally stoned. To say she looks like a crack whore is an insult to crack whores.

Where did that sweet ingenue go that thrilled us in the 80s? Where is she, Whitney?

Posted by: Lisa at July 15, 2005 1:32 PM

That viagra thing freaked me out. That was just so wrong on so many levels.

Posted by: RTG at July 15, 2005 2:49 PM

I guess I'm glad I missed it.

I tend to avoid the "day in a life of famous person" shows, ever since I watched part of the Anna Nicole show. (I'm still having flashbacks; to whom do I apply to get the ten minutes of my life watching the show back?).

Sounds like Bobby Brown needs to be whacked upside the head with a TMI cluebat. (I don't want to hear about ANYBODY'S bowel habits, ANYTIME. If I did, I'd've become a doctor and make far more money than I do now....)

Posted by: ricki at July 16, 2005 10:48 AM

I watched about 5-10 minutes of it today. That was more than enough. Bobby is an absolute ass, and Whitney is completely stoned. The bit I saw had them sitting at some counter with milk shakes or something...Bobby demanding to know why the little girl was pissed at him, him and Whitney squabbling over the situation, and the little girl with a look of "just kill me now". I'm sure she loves her parents, but you can also tell she despises them.
