Okay, so the "cop" from the Village People was just busted when police stopped his car for some routine infraction and found him with crack cocaine, a gun, and no valid identification.
The lead sentence of that article I linked to is:
It may be fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A, but spending time in j-a-i-l is likely no walk in the park, even for a macho man.
Uhm ... can you tell the writer was having a good time?
The article keeps getting funnier and funnier:
The former Village Person did not have a valid driver's license or any form of identification and initially tried to lie to police about his name and address, before switching tactics and informing them that he was a founding member of the over-the-top disco band, police said.
Oh no!! "The former Village Person ..."
When police searched the "Macho Man" singer's home at the Franciscan Mobile Home Park in Daly City, they found cocaine residue, more drug paraphernalia and two pit bulls locked in the bedroom.
And finally:
The fallen disco star is scheduled to be arraigned Aug.16.
"The fallen disco star ..."
It's not funny that he was careening around with crack cocaine and no valid identification ... but there's something really amusing about this entire thing, on an uber level. "The fallen disco star ..."

Does that make him a disco meteorite? (I suppose he would have been a disco meteor before he hit bottom.)
It's just funny enough to think of a Village Person living in a trailer park.
