I owe Ann Althouse one for linking to me from her guest-blogger status at "that site". I've been linked by Instapundit a couple times before, but I never get used to the JOLT of traffic, as evidenced by referral log. It's a bit scary.
Regardless: welcome, Instapundit readers!! Thanks, Ann!
Posted by sheilaSeems she's also been reading your movie quotes.
Posted by: Bernard at August 11, 2005 11:33 AMThank God for InstaAlthouse this week. I love finding great new (new-to-me, I should say) blogs to read. Movie talk? Guess-the-quote posts?
Heaven.
This place is going to be like a comfy old chair to me!
Alex - awwww. Thanks!
Yeah - gonna have to do another guess-the-quote game - they are so much fun!!!

Posted by: Ron at August 11, 2005 1:13 PMIn an internet of OMGWTFROTFLMAOBBQ, this place is a literary heaven. I love stopping in to see what's going on.
Posted by: Cullen at August 11, 2005 1:49 PMYay - newcomers! I can feel workplace productivity fading now (or maybe that's just me for typing this)...
Posted by: Independent George at August 11, 2005 2:09 PMAh! Consider the JOLT from the other side: being sent to blogs and realms unfamiliar!
Much as I love Glenn (on many levels), I so look forward to the guest bloggers different perspectives and pointers. So, I thank Ann for sending me to YOU, dear woman!
Sheila is fun frothy and fulsome. You are a delight I shall share and pass on unabashed.
Posted by: Orson Olson at August 11, 2005 4:44 PMI gave up ruminating on my Irishness years ago. Many of the Irish I met projected a smallness of mind, and were some of the most class conscious people I'd ever met. I'd love to see what Joe Queenen's take on the Ice Bar would be. Anyway great piece of writing & observation.
