WHOO HOO

Olympic history: the first throw triple axle was just performed. Perfectly.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I get so caught UP in this stuff!!! They kept showing it on replay ... the perfection of it ... it's the first time it's ever been done - He launched her off into the air, and there she was, in slo-mo, turning one, two, three times ... landing perfectly ... and then they moved on - and you could see, in both of their faces, the exhilaration and the adrenaline of what they had just accomplished ...

LOVE.

THIS.

STUFF.

Oh, no!! I have to go away now! Different time zones and -- it shames me to say it -- I don't have cable to watch ESPN. Don't ask me why.

The Russians who just went (and got 68.something) were basically spectacular. the side-by-side triple toe loops were pretty amazing. I forgot how good the pairs skating could be.

Yeah - they were pretty much perfect. The Russians dominate the whole pairs category. They just kinda can't be beat. (But then again ... they said that about the Russian hockey team in 1980 ... so you never know!)

Yeah! And remember that in Rocky IV that Rock kicked Drago's ass!

I'm convinced that the male commentator had his hand in his pants during that performance. (the 3x jump thingy). Dude was WAY too excited about it.
