Dino again

Seriously, if you're looking for other more serious content - or at least a variety - you might have to come back in a couple months. To see how I'm doing THEN. Because now? I can't stop. Nor do I want to. For those of you who might not have ridden one of these waves with me before - please check out my category pages - for example: Cary Grant has a whole category devoted to him. So does Bogart. So does Stalin - although - er - that's really not the same kind of thing at all. But I guess it counts as an obsession.

I'll create a category for Dino sooner or later - just so they all can be in one place.

And look! It's catching!!

Pitter pat. Pitter freakin' pat.

Said during one of his shows:

"If you think I'm going to get serious, you're crazy. If you want to hear a serious song, buy one of my records."

This is the kind of wave of obsession that's easy on the hearing. I'm glad to be in your wake on this one!

I remember him saying, "You want serious, lady? Buy an albium!" The extra vowel in "Albium" was deliberate.

Thank you so much for the Dean tributes. Having an absolute crapper of a day/week/month, reading about him and looking at his photos has cheered me up immensely. There is something about him that just makes you happy.

You could title your memoirs Dino, Bogart, Stalin, and Grant.

I can't believe Dean Martin is your new obsession! A few years ago, I was looking through a bin of marked-down CD's & found a Dean Martin one. I immediately flashed back to childhood, and my dad trying to sing along to "Everybody Loves Somebody". Since the song was on the CD, I bought it, listened to it, & fell in love with Dean Martin. I can remember my parents watching those celebrity roasts. I wonder if they're available on DVD now? I just love him, and I'm gonna have a ball reading your Dino archives!

All on DVD!! Whoo-hoo! I haven't bought them yet because I've already bought way too much to catch up with all the OTHER Dino fans who have been fans of the dude for years ... but eventually I'll have to spring for some roasts. I remember seeing them on TV when I was a kid and being completely BAFFLED by them.
