Cryptography

CW hasn't been posting much, of late, but when he does - it is always a good read. I always learn something from him - his is one of my favorite sites. Nice guy. Scroll around in his archives - it's great stuff.

Here's his latest.

Oh great, you have to link to the post where I'm being my usual anti-establishment self. And here I keep trying to pose as a Republican on the Net ;-)

Hahahaha! Never know who will find you when they Google their own name! :-)

Anyway.. i assure you that you have no memory of asking me because you didn't... I hated to dance (didn't even dance at my wedding - I think it is a phobia!) but never got asked to any dance by anyone or I would have gone or counteroffered with something else like a movie or whatever! :-)

As for the teaching style - I know I am either technically ahead or amuck in that I feel the need to use the abundance of AV material that i have acquired over the many years to show the real deal rather than put a dishtowel on my head or fake whispkers on my face and pretend to be Yasser arafat of Abraham Lincoln. I figure that if a picture peaks a thousand words then real footage of the real people (not movies but good documentary footage) speaks volumes.

Thus my curriculum is based on student reading and supplimental material that I add (primary sources and Audio/visual but also have added in web-based stuff and even music from the timeperiods). Some people don't see the value but I do and it seems to pay off.

Anyway... I have to smile at how the cyber-world often pokes its little reality in and wanted to say hi to all the O'Mally clan! stay safe, be well, and look for my VW Beetle (with the Thule that holds my target archery equipment - not a surfboard! lol)

Toby

PS - I'd have said yes so maybe you were fibbing to whoever you said it to! :-)

Holy crap. It's Toby Kimball. I had SUCH a crush on you when I was a freshman in high school! I can't believe this.

Just had to pop back and see what was replied!! I have pondered in my mind and might in the deepest recesses recall you asking me but I THINK I had asked someone or was awaiting a particular ask (which I never got) so who knows!!

I do recall you though and it is sweet to know someone had a crush on simple lil me! I know there was another freshman who was very obsessed with me (ok - an a couple others who were interested) but for some reason (and even today as a teacher I feel it) the span between freshman and senior is soooo great that it appears one of "taking advantage" of the lil gals. And that's not my style so consider it an honor that I said no... sorta! :-)

I hope all is well... I can be reached at my email at school (rkimball@skschools.net) or I'll check back in a few months and see what was posted! Pass on the hello to the rest of the clan and have a safe and Happy Holiday season!
