Oh, what a wonderful post about "Night at the Opera". Beautiful!!
Posted by sheilaThanks, red. Your post brought back a lot of memories. Ever hear Now I'm Here off of Shear heart Attack?
"Down in the dungeon just Hoople and me"
I saw them with Mott the Hoople in New Oleans. With only their self-titled first album out, they were the warmup band. They brought the house down with "Liar" and I guarantee you half of the crowd never heard of them then.

Posted by: red at October 5, 2006 1:12 PMQueen and Mott the Hoople would have been a heck of a double bill, right up there with the Who and the James Gang.
Back in my cover-band days, "Tie Your Mother Down" was a personal favorite...because let's face it, there weren't all that many Queen songs us ordinary mortals could play and sing.

Posted by: Rob at October 5, 2006 1:50 PMBy the way, Ken, a lot of bands of the day used to play Stoned Cold Crazy and a band Sheila may see up there in New York, Zebra, plays a killer version of Now I'm Here.
Posted by: Rob at October 5, 2006 4:32 PMI thought this was going to be a link to someone named Queen writing about "A Night at the Opera", one of my favorite Marx Brothers pics.
Oh, well. There's always Greenbriar...
