The sad-sack story of Handy Randy. (That's my new favorite blog, by the way.) I LOVE her. I love her writing. She makes me laugh, she takes great pictures, her personality sparkles off the page ... and she also practices her Ethel Merman impersonation when she is alone in her house. What is not to love about that.
Posted by sheila | TrackBackThat cuts a wee bit close to home...I know far too many people who have jumped to "help" a Randy and come out of it sadder but wiser.
And I know far too many people who have a "Randy" as their brother/cousin/sister's-best-friend's-ex-boyfriend.
I said in my comment on her site, next time someone acts all sad on my behalf because I'm over 35 and not married, I'm gonna give them the URL of that story and tell them, "Yeah? Is it really ALWAYS worse for a woman to be without a man?"
I just love her writing style. She's a hoot.
I love, too, her husband trying to say to Randy: "Why don't you date these girls for a while?"
Ha!

Posted by: red at January 31, 2007 1:11 PMMy gosh, her photos are fantastic.
And the stories are a hoot.
Posted by: Mr. Bingley at January 31, 2007 1:14 PMShe also posts sound bites of herself as Ethel Merman.
Seriously - I am addicted to her blog now! Ha!
Posted by: red at January 31, 2007 1:17 PMTotally. You hooked me, Sheila. I love, love, love her.
One of the best pics ever is the one of her and her sister in those strange ballet tu-tus standing in the middle of a snow bank with their heads titled toward each other and LOVING it.
It's brilliant.
She's a great photographer.
