Definitely time for a happy place.

More happy places ...
Oh - and here's something else. It had to be done.
ok, you're starting to scare me with this rocky thing.
Posted by: allison at February 2, 2007 4:57 PMThat is an awesome photo!
Posted by: Emily at February 2, 2007 5:07 PMof course i'm totally joking, which i feel i must point out after having read your "safe obsessions" post. i think your obsessive nature may be the thing i love most about you.....espcially when you pass your obsessions on to me. think helter skelter, charles lindbergh, reds, etc etc etc
Posted by: Allison at February 2, 2007 5:11 PMAllison - hahaha of course I know you're joking!! I was going to joke back: Wait until we get together on Sunday and I bring my collector's edition DVD, my Rocky: The Ultimate Guide - as well as my 5,000 anecdotes about this movie that came out when I was freakin' 6.
hahahahahaha
You're gonna be like: Now ... did I suggest getting together today??
No, just kidding.
I can't wait. And maybe we can watch some Forensic Files while we're at it, and revel in the spectacle of dead rich teenagers.
Posted by: red at February 2, 2007 5:14 PMEmily - I loooove it. I don't like his body when it got way too big - a la Rambo - but I love the body there. And the candid-ness of the shot.
Posted by: red at February 2, 2007 5:15 PMbring all the rocky shit on...i'm ready. and, oh yes, i am deliberately NOT going to watch saturday night's episode of 48 hours mystery so we can revel together in whatever bloody intrigue it has on tap. i certainly hope it's snowing on sunday, because i have a feeling we're not going to be leaving the house.
Posted by: Allison at February 2, 2007 5:17 PMI yearn for bloody intrigue.
I'm laughing out loud. I can't wait!
Posted by: red at February 2, 2007 5:18 PMSheila,
I forgot to tell you -- the Hammer and Tongs dudes who made the Hitchhiker movie have a new film coming out soon (it just kicked as at Sundance) called Son of Rambow, which is supposed to be about a couple of little kids getting inspired to make their own movie after seeing Rambo. They said Stallone was really generous about letting them use footage from his movie and stuff, which I think is really cool. Look at the picture for the poster.
That poster!!! hahahaha I hadn't heard anything about this movie - how awesome!
Posted by: red at February 2, 2007 5:30 PMYeah, there was a bidding war for it at Sundance and everything (yay, H & T!!). It looks pretty promising.
Posted by: Emily at February 2, 2007 5:33 PMThat's so great. They deserve it.
Posted by: red at February 2, 2007 5:49 PMDoes he qualify as blurpy or is he too fit?
Posted by: PatrickP at February 2, 2007 9:54 PMHe's a teeny bit blurpy in Rocky (check him out in his filthy grey sweatsuit) - but he's on the verge of NOT being blurpy ...
I love that "blurpy" is now a word that people use. I have Ann Marie to thank for that.
Posted by: red at February 3, 2007 11:46 AMI look at this picture and I get transported back in time to when I was so very much in love with Stallone... This is the very look that got me! He is just delicious here. I mean, look at those legs!! They are perfect.
And I agree with you Sheila, I think he looked so much better when he did Rocky than afterwards. I prefer him at his most blurpy, no question about it! :)
Posted by: Ceci at February 3, 2007 8:06 PMMmmmmmmmm...blurpy=yummy.
