The Sheila Variations

Gee Sheila,
It is so sweet that you feel mission accomplished. It's been accomplished more time than you probably know. I've been faithfully reading your stuff for ages. You are so talented. You should be proud of your work. Many times I've gotten good tips on stuff here at this blog. Like the Misfits book you read and wrote about. I devoured it and studied the movie afterwards. And the movie Twentith Century. What a gem that is. Lombard and Barrymore were funny as you said. Your writing make me think that if I knew you I would make you a friend. You add a lot to my daily cyber reading. Thanks.

I agree with Susan wholeheartedly. You accomplish your mission more often than you know, Sheila. Your writing is beautiful, and full of feeling, and not a day goes by that I don't visit. Because it feels good to be around here and read you. And I'm sure I am not the only one who thinks so.

So... mission accomplished indeed, and well done!

Umm, ditto.. (not near as elequent as CeCi and Susan, but you DO write on a level that touches a broad brush of society).

it does mean a lot, you know. It is really nice to hear.

No one reads 74 facts and is unmoved.

It means what I wrote touched somebody, got to them, got inside them.

Late again. I was going to come in here to say "Well, duh" but I've been beaten to the punch. Rightly so and much more eloquently.

My real point of the post is that I was struck by the TITLE of that post over there. Weird to see your name in that context.

I'm not saying it's good or bad, or I need reassurance. I'm just saying it's weird to see "Sheila O'Malley is a sad woman" as a title.

My kneejerk response is to say "I'm fine!" - which is ironic - considering the last line of 74 Facts.
