this quote reminds me of a line from the sitcom friends. phoebe had done something (can't remember what)that she was scared to death to tell monica about because Monica was surely going to blow a fuse. it went something like this:
Rachel: Phoebe, what did Moncia do?
Phobe: I haven't told her yet.
