Not to be missed!

25 Best Movie Posters - by one of my favorite film bloggers. Great commentary and observations. Many famous posters - and others that are new to me. All thought-provoking and beautiful.

Related but on a different blog: Any blog that has an entire category called Polish Film Poster of the Week is okay by me.

Sheila, the Chinatown poster has got to be one of my all-time top 5 faves. The curling cigarette smoke, the lapping ocean waves, that totally cool font...fabulous artwork.

I remember seeing the first showing of the film when it opened in New York...and it lived up to the poster!

Michael - I'm so jealous you saw the first showing!! What was that like? I've never seen it in the movie theatre - what a fantastic movie.

And yeah, the poster - with its weird art deco-ness - is just amazing.

Well, of course, it being NYC, it was a HUGE screen, which was superfantastic. All that early LA-deco atmosphere simply drenching the audience.

However, the first show was at 5:30, and there were surprisingly few people in the theater. It was almost like a private showing!
