I'm freaking out! Completely freaking out. A new edition pof the letters of John and Abigail? With more material? And "several letters never before published"? Foreword by Joseph Ellis? Are you kidding me? I had no idea. So psyched!!
One of the letters I love from their courtship period.
How much do I want to go to the reading too.
Oh, the heart is full of longings, isn't it. My dearest friend.
saltpeter. pins.
Posted by sheila | TrackBackI'm picturing you camping out in front of a Barnes & Noble as if you are on line to buy tickets to Led Zeppelin. You've got a powdered wig on, a prop musket, a copy of the Constitution, and a framed picture of Abigail set up just outside of your little tent. Which, by the way, is standard issue Revolutionary War era gear.
You get there two days in advance of the release of the book.
YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON CAMPING OUT!!!
You crack me up!

I love that Adams is sort of Salieri and Mozart all at once...the genius but also completely overlooked.
except by you.
Posted by: Brendan at November 8, 2007 2:41 PMOh please! Make fun. I am ridiculous, it is true. I just flew to freakin, Taos new Mexico on the off chance that I would run into Dean Stockwell! And I did!!
I've read the original version of the John/Abigail letters so many times that I'm really excited to read the new material!
