And seriously. Charles Laughton deserves all the props he got for this magnificent film.

A haunting movie in beautiful black and white. It stays with you for days. One of my very favorites. I'll always regret weather didn't permit us to go see it at Grant Park here in Chicago, on the BIG screen. Imagine Mitchum's eerie song at night, outside. I really wanted Alex to see it that night.
