My boyfriend and I went to Arches National Park and took some great shots. The photo of the arch is NOT the one that collapsed last year, although we saw that one, too – but the one in the photo below certainly looks like it could go any minute!
It’s a John Ford kind of landscape.
I visited Arches myself last fall, and I was struck by how, if you could just look past the masses of RVs and busloads of German tourists and the general chaos of the place on a weekend, that it truly feels like an unearthly location, as though you were walking through some sort of bizarre Martian landscape. I would love to be able to see what the place would be like on a day the park was virtually empty.
