Big, airy, light. I mean compared to the old place? There is no comparison.

amazing! Amazingly roomy! Two windows?! Definitely a place in which you can hang out...

Posted by: Alex at July 18, 2009 2:00 PMI'm bedazzled by those floor boards. Wooden floors = the way to go.
Posted by: Catherine at July 18, 2009 3:24 PMCongrats on your new home. I like the kitchen most, but the whole place looks great. I'm just guessing from what you had shown of your previous place, but did you about triple your square footage?
Posted by: Dave E. at July 18, 2009 3:36 PMWonderful kitchen! I love the whole apartment, chaos and all. Hi Mrs. O'Malley!
Posted by: jayne at July 18, 2009 3:55 PMIt's beautiful!!! Love it.

Posted by: mere at July 19, 2009 6:53 AMDave - it must be triple the space. I was living in one room, basically - with a small kitchen. Now I have four full rooms (including bathroom). The funniest thing is is that in the old place I had so much storage space (closets behind walls and shelves on top of closets - the apartment was built that way) that the place was like a clown car and I was able to store a lot of stuff I had no room for. Now I have this huge space - with ONE closet - so figuring that out is going to be my biggest challenge.
Well. I have a lot of challenges right now. But in terms of the apartment ....
Posted by: red at July 19, 2009 10:29 AMMere - I know!!! I can't wait for you guys to come down. I'm going out to LA in August again, just not sure when. We should start planning ahead about what looks good for you guys ...
Niiiiice. A library/office - I'm so jealous. Getting a new space and refreshing your perspective sounds like just the thing!
Posted by: ted at July 19, 2009 12:40 PMP. S. Time for that flat screen.
Posted by: ted at July 19, 2009 12:45 PMTed - big time. I still have all my notes from that conversation with Michael!
So much to do, and I am moving at a snail's pace these days.
Posted by: red at July 19, 2009 12:47 PMWhat a great big kitchen! The whole place looks so nice and roomy.
