A final illustration from my novel about teenage chorus girls, written at age 12

Look at how meticulous I was with Cherrie’s fishnets. I have to say, I like how I rendered Blowsy’s left foot. I think that is rather good.

Here are Blowsy and Cherrie, BFFs. (Uhm – BLOWSY and CHERRIE???) They sit backstage before their big numbers.

I remember sAdie as well! Illustrated? With a pic of her exhausted on the line? But what I was thinking about that I think you should scan the rolled up scroll picture you drew of the kids from rolling acres ice skating. That was my favorite.

  5. brendan says:

okay, the top hat is cracking me up.

  6. red says:

With a pic of her exhasted on the line?

hahahahahahaha Yes! With her battered lace-up boots!

Maybe I’ll move on to that one next.

And yes, my roll-out picture of ice skating. Scanning that in pieces would be akin to the medieval monks writing out the Book of Kells – but maybe I’ll give it a go.

  7. red says:

Bren – I know!! Her whole getup is killing me.

As some one who will unashmedly love Newsies until the day I die you have to post excerpts from the Sadie novel.

  9. red says:

Jessica – HAHAHA It is TOTALLY Newsies!!!

Okay, I’ll post some of it tomorrow.
