Okay, new background.
Notorious?
I’m hoping my state of Washington gets a better “how’s all the legalization working out for everyone” documentary than Colorado got.
Yeah Notorious. I’m not sure it fully works but I’ll
Leave it up for now!
And yeah: it’s a huge story – in the PNW too right- with the long history behind it of the unofficial pot-growing business then becoming legal and now … government regulated. Huge disconnect on both sides. Interesting but ugh, this documentary. The style of it was so grating.
Just like the papers in Colorado, the Seattle Times has a section devoted to marijuana. I think they do a decent job of covering things. Here’s a good article on a couple of locals.

Thanks!
The best part about the doc was watching the reporters try to figure out the parameters of their new job. Not all of them were stoners. A couple of them were so straight-laced they didn’t even drink. Kind of a good example of what un-biased good investigative journalism can actually look like. A couple of the Cannabist reporters were CLEARLY advocates. Others maybe, not so much, but it was a story to be treated seriously, that’s for sure.
