A Western starring Ethan Hawke and John Travolta. It’s not perfect, but God, when it works, it works.

You had me at the reference to Face/Off. I’ll have to track this down.
Speaking of semi-recent westerns, did you ever see Bone Tomahawk? I know you love some Kurt.
No, haven’t seen it.
Yeah, this movie is very entertaining. Especially the final sequence. Super violent. But really good script. And Travolta and Hawke are great!
Saw this last night. Enjoyed it. Abbie was a great dog!
Travolta and Hawke were just excellent together. I liked the priest. The actor, Burn Gorman, looked familiar and I saw that he’s been in a couple of GdT movies. I also Taissa Farmiga. I wonder if Mary Anne and Paul got together afterwards. If Paul had shown any forgiveness toward the guys who wronged him, I would think it was possible. But I’m leaning toward him moving on after he heals up.
The whole thing between Travolta and his deputy – “stop calling me Tubby” – and Travolta having to deal with that …
God, he’s good. Have you seen the OJ mini series yet? I had PTSD flashbacks -maybe we’ve discussed already, can’t remember. Travolta was superb. He’s always been a favorite of mine.
and so glad you saw it! It’s getting some pretty bad reviews. But I thought it was very stupid and entertaining.
//“stop calling me Tubby”//
That was just insanely funny! And Travolta trying to soothe him over, to buck the guy up to go out and essentially be a target! “That’s just my biology.” A great line.
Haven’t seen the OJ series. I know you’ve written good things about it, but I just don’t want to re-live that. Maybe at some later point.
