It’s ALSO all about my friend Larry Clarke, as one of the cops who questions poor baffled Dougie (Kyle McLachlan) and Dougie’s increasingly irate wife (Naomi Watts) about their missing car. I squealed when I saw Larry stroll into the room. I loved the deadpan-cop routine, the synchronized reaching for the notebooks, but also the vague sense of confusion that this guy is … what the hell is going on with this guy? Larry got to be yelled at by Naomi Watts. Yes! And randomly, Larry’s partner was played by David Koechner, a guy I knew back in the Chicago improv days, when I was hanging out at Improv Olympic all the time with this fella, who was a bigwig there. Worlds collide.

I watched the sweeping scene in awe. I was tempted to time it, honestly. What other show would DO that? And the scene with your friend Larry was fantastic! I am loving Janey-E more and more.
I spent the entire original series speculating about Diane, and she is NOT AT ALL what I was expecting – which I love! What HAPPENED between her and Cooper?!
//I spent the entire original series speculating about Diane//
FUCK YOU, Natalie. (I spent the whole day thinking about poor Tammy and giggling.:) )
Women are so pissed off!
Horne and his hot employee (another pissed off woman) have this moment when they smile at the EXACT same moment, the exact same way – and she has her eyes closed- it’s just that kind of thing that I love so much.
The tiny log lever for the computer screen? So silly!
Harry is sick? I know he won’t come back, still: don’t die, Harry, we love you!

Yes.
I was so please to hear a piece of music from the original seasons (when Andy’s waiting by the side of the road). Except for the main theme, had we heard music from 25 years ago yet? I miss the piece that starts with a walking bass line very very much.
//FUCK YOU, Natalie.//
OMG. Laughing so hard.
And totally, re: Frank’s computer screen. I want that desk!
I so agree in re: the music!
So far (unless I’m missing something) we haven’t heard that main theme – the one that goes from hope/transcendence to ominous doom in one chord change. You know the one I mean? Maybe that’s coming.

I know! She’s amazing! She’s kind of awful too but the way she’s just taking over – inadvertently she’s protecting poor lost Agent Cooper.
// What HAPPENED between her and Cooper?! //
Dying to know!
Has anyone seen Billy?
There were so many great little moments in this episode. I love just how quiet Robert Forster is, even while the wonderful moment happens with the computer out of the desk.
And the sweeping scene (and another creepy Renault brother) was classic!

He is just so so wonderful. And the way he deals with his nutty screaming wife! His face!!
I loved his response to Michael Cera too.
Even just seeing a Renault gave me flashback-shivers to who those guys were in the original series.
