Oh Sheila — when I read that you and Violet Lucca would be talking about Phantom Thread I just dropped what I was doing … You are the BOMB!!!! (Ya know, I’ve never heard your voice before, it’s lovely). I just LOVED the two of you talking about this film, which I have yet to see, living as I do a million miles from a worthy cinema.
So glad you’re getting better all the time (and don’t you just love Violet’s laugh?! I listen to Film Commentary just to hear her laugh sometimes).
Frances – thanks! It was so fun to talk about – especially since we are in sync in our feelings about the movie. Many people probably disagree with us – and that’s of course totally cool – but I haven’t talked much about the movie with anyone – mainly because, as you say, it’s not released widely yet – so it was a blast to really get into it!
