One year in Chicago, my friend Ann Marie and I decided to celebrate New Year’s Eve by staying in and doing nothing. As 20somethings, this seemed hilarious to us. It was the most radical thing we could possibly do. We got manicures and then went back to her place, made dinner, and ate it on TV trays, watching a movie. I now cannot remember what movie we watched but I am 95% certain that Ann Marie will remember, so I will update this post if more information comes in. We were in the middle of watching the movie, when suddenly we heard all these cars beeping and people screaming outside, and we were so chill and so involved with the movie, we were both like, “What on EARTH is going on out th— Oh. Right.”
