Tribeca Film Festival 2011: Last Night, Starring Tepid, Bland, Hot People

Last Night starring Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington (with Eva Mendes and Guillaume Canet) premieres at the Tribeca Film Festival. It takes place in one night, with a married couple flirting with infidelity in two different cities. Could have been better, should have been better. My review is up at Capital New York (and once again, my editor comes up with the best headlines.)

OK, I wandered over to Capital New York and yes, I can’t imagine a more tepid pairing of two supposedly hot people than Keira and Sam (Keira strikes sparks when she’s paired with the right actor: when I heard about Keira/Sam I was actually going “Uh-oh.” Sam was hot in “Terminator: Salvation” but everything else he’s done since then has just left me — cold?)

And yes, your editor does think of the best headlines.

I like Keira with the darker hair, though.

I wish the Tribeca film festival were going on a little longer, because I’m actually going to be in New York. But I’ll keep checking your site b/c I’m sure you will have some really good suggestions of things to catch while I am there.

  2. have you seen bren’s impression of keira knightley? funny. and mean!
