oh my god. <\/p>\n

I just heard the news. <\/a><\/p>\n

I don’t know what to say. I read everything Michael Kelly wrote. His op-ed columns in The Washington Post have been breaths of clear-eyed sanity through this whole thing. And I have always cherished the The Atlantic Monthly. <\/p>\n

My response is a selfish response. I immediately feel the loss. Knowing that I will not read anything by Kelly again. I am very sad about that. <\/p>\n

But beyond the selfishness: this is a huge loss to all of us. Journalism in this country needs people like Michael Kelly. <\/p>\n
