It&#8217;s one of the most influential scripts ever written &#8211; especially when you consider how much it has been imitated, and how <i>Rashomon<\/i> itself &#8211; the concept of one story being told from many different points of view &#8211; has worked its way into the common lexicon. <\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/33020885_312435562623171_3385157407251365888_n.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/33020885_312435562623171_3385157407251365888_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"440\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-138559\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/33020885_312435562623171_3385157407251365888_n.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/33020885_312435562623171_3385157407251365888_n-100x69.jpg 100w, https:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/33020885_312435562623171_3385157407251365888_n-200x138.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/33020885_312435562623171_3385157407251365888_n-400x275.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\nTheir collaboration continued, and Hashimoto worked with Kurosawa on 8 different screenplays spanning a 20-year period&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;including major international hit <i>The Seven Samurai<\/i> &#8211; which of course has spawned many many remakes\/spin-offs &#8211; to this DAY &#8211; and the quieter <i>Ikiru<\/i> (which, in my own humble opinion, is one of the best films ever made &#8211; with certainly one of the best final scenes AND final shots.) I love how Fox ends the obit.
