\nFor the “Endings” column in the October issue of Sight & Sound<\/em> magazine, I wrote about the final shot in Hal Ashby’s Shampoo<\/em>. It’s one of my favorite final shots in cinema. (I pitched the piece before Criterion made its announcement<\/a> that it would be releasing Shampoo<\/em>. Serendipitous timing. Something in the air. Shampoo in the air.) <\/p>\n

As much as I’ve written here, as much as I love Shampoo<\/i>, I’ve never written about that final shot until now. Thanks to Sight & Sound<\/i> for the opportunity. <\/p>\n
