\nI absolutely loved Madeleine Olnek’s Wild Nights with Emily<\/i>, starring Molly Shannon as Emily Dickinson, Susan Zeigler as the famous (and famously erased<\/a>) “Sue” of Dickinson’s poems, and Amy Seimetz (whom I just met last fall when we were both jurors at Indie Memphis) as Mabel Todd, Dickinson’s first publisher and editor, and the crafter of the posthumous myth of Emily as a “spinster-recluse”. It’s fantastic. Very very funny but also thought-provoking, with a gut punch of a final scene (and final sound effect).
