YOU.&#8221; don&#8217;t even begin to express my feelings about the heartlessness of that statement, from a man who always wanted to belong in New York, but who never did. Who returns &#8220;home&#8221; now to jeering crowds protesting outside his gold palace. Nobody ever liked him here. New Yorkers always saw through him. &#8220;Take New York out of the equation.&#8221; Way to provide healing and support to a suffering city. What leadership. <\/p>\n<p>Spike Lee just dropped a short film on Instagram, a love letter to suffering New York. His introductory text: &#8220;My Short Film-NEW YORK NEW YORK Is A Love Letter To It&#8217;s People Plain And Simple.&#8221; The film is 3 minutes and 30 seconds long and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B_6DwoVnz0u\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">it is overwhelming<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s just been uploaded to Youtube if it&#8217;s easier to watch it there. <\/p>\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TAzxLrXFM4s\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\nIt&#8217;s healing.
