It&#8217;s a doozy. Get a cup of coffee. <\/p>\n<p>I wrote about modernist poet H.D. (Hilda Doolittle) and her brief time (1927-1933) writing ecstatic film criticism in a film journal she helped found, <i>Close Up<\/i>.
