I never knew what Marilyn was going to do, how she was going to play a scene. I had to talk her out of it, or I had to underline it and say, “That’s very good” or “Do it this way.” But I never knew anybody who … except for a dress that blows up and she’s standing there … I don’t know why she became so popular. I never knew<\/i>. She was really kind of … She was a star. Every time you saw her, she was something<\/i>. Even when she was angry, it was just a remarkable person.
